Search Engine Optimisation (SEO):-
When you've finished installing your store/site, make sure you submit your site to the following directories

Google.com
DMOZ.org

If you submit your site to the above two links, ALL of the other search engines will find and index your site. You DON'T NEED to PAY to have your site submitted to search engines for Search Engine Optimisation. It can take up to 3 months to be indexed by the search engines, sometimes longer so it's best to do it ASAP.

It's also extremely important that you get busy linking to other sites and vice versa.
