*Please note:- all websites are supposed to have an index page.

{This is the first page that search engines such as Google go to when they are indexing your site to rank it. They start from the index page and crawl out from there. Without an index page, your site will still be found and ranked, but you will not achieve as high a search ranking in Google as you would if you keep your index page on your site. A sites index page is always ranked the highest for a website. Before removing it I would recommend that you edit/add text to the index page that contains keywords and information that relates to your site/store ~ see my main tutorials page on how to edit your index page }

** This tutorial only applies to customers of mine that currently have an index or 'enter' page as their index.asp for their site that is hosted with www.wahmshoppes.com.

1. Login to your admin area eg; www.yoursite.com/admin (please refer to your 'site setup' email for the username and password) Obviously change the 'yoursite.com' section to your actual domain name.

2. From the left hand menu select 'Folder Manager '> then 'List Folders '> click on the link on the page that comes up with your domain name.

3. Click on the link for 'www' that comes up on the next page.

4. On the right hand side, you will see a list of file names > next to each file name you are given some graphic icon options>next to the file named index.asp>click on the pen icon (NOT THE BOMB ICON AS THIS WILL DELETE THE PAGE).

5. A page will appear with a table and HTML code in it, right click your mouse in the table with the code> select all > then hit the 'delete' button on your keyboard.

6. Then paste in the following code:-

7. Save the changes you've made.

8. Then in Featurecart eg; www.yoursite.com/store/setup.asp (login)
Click on the link for 'Configuration'. On the page that appears, in the top table > click the check box next to 'redirect to store'>save changes.
