Yes, I am a girly girl. I love
pink, flowers, pretty things. All things Girly
- that's me :) It actually took me a long while
to admit to this. I live and work on our farm
as well, so I go from pretty floral pinks and
fragrances to scooping up manure, fencing, building
then into a sweet smelling aromatic bubble bath
~ all within a day.
I suppose this is the major reason why I am
so in tune with my clients, especially those
that come to me for unique and originally designed
girly web pages and character illustrations.
I love all things bright, fun, hip and funky.
I also adore traditional styles and I'm completely
into French Provincial and Shabby Chic looks
for my own home.
Being a Mother of 4 children, 3 of my children
being gals and ranging in ages from a teenager
down to a toddler, I try extremely hard to keep
up to date with what is hip and in fashion and
then try and incorporate my knowledge into my
designs for my clients.
Being so diverse in my daily life certainly
has helped with my career as I've been designing
and illustrating as my full time profession
for 6 years. I have been drawing and designing
all my life and studied Graphic Design, but
I am mainly a self-taught web chick.

I definitely know what has kept my business
going, when so many others fail is not only
because of my great client base but because
of my completely unique style. I create all
of my own illustrations and graphics for my
designs. Occassionally when another artist that
I know has created something that I've just
go to have (you know like when you see a new
pair of shoes at the store) I will purchase
a license to use her work within mine. I don't
do this very often, but as more and more "designers"
come out and use cookie cutter free clipart
etc, it's often hard for me to keep my prices
down in fair competition when I'm the one drawing
my own clipart to use. I know that many of my
clients truly appreciate my original artwork
and this is definitely what sets my client's
sites apart from other "designers"
work. I take great pride in my ability to create
fresh and new designs for clients.
